2018 MLB Postseason Outlook: Only 4 Teams Left |Gorilla Bats
Baseball initially started in the U.S. but has become a global phenomenon. Today, more than 100 countries are part of the International Baseball Federation. Throughout the 2018 Major League Baseball playoffs, people around the world are rooting for their favorite teams, players, and are simply enjoying the game at its highest and most competitive level.
Let’s take a look at the remaining four teams in the 2018 MLB playoffs:
Houston Astros
Last year's World Series champions, the Astros easily handled the Cleveland Indians, who a lot of experts were predicting to win it all. Houston won 103 games this season and were lead by their multiple all-stars, including Carlos Correa, Jose Altuve, George Springer.
Boston Red Sox
The Red Sox won 108 games this season and are clearly one of the best baseball teams in the world. In their first playoff matchup against rival New York Yankees since 2004 (the year Boston finally won it all), Boston took the series in four games. Mookie Betts and J. D. Martinez both have a shot to win the American League MVP award and will look to help the Red Sox get passed last year's champs.
Milwaukee Brewers
There might not be a better team right now than the Brewers, who not many thought could go this far into the playoffs. Lead by former MVP Ryan Braun and most-likely future MVP Christian Yelich, the Brewers are hoping to upset the Dodgers and reach the World Series for the first time since 1982.
Los Angeles Dodgers
Manny Machado, Clayton Kershaw, Yasiel Puig, and so many more studs helped the Dodgers reach their third consecutive National League Championship Series (NLCS). The Dodgers last won the World Series in 1988, but came extremely close last year, losing to the Astros in seven games.
